Little is known about the Cromwell family massacre that took place on Friday 13th November 1970. According to local legend, Mr Cromwell purchased a mysterious pendant possessed by a powerful demonic spirit. Before long, the curse consumed him, leading to the deaths of his wife, children and ultimately himself. The house has stood abandoned ever since, with many refusing to step inside. Yet there may still be hope. It is believed that if the cursed pendant can be found and removed before sunrise on the anniversary of the massacre, the Cromwells' spirits may finally be set free. Enter the house, uncover its secrets and confront the darkness within. But be warned - those who fail may become part of the haunting themselves.

Is there a live actor?

No. The fear comes from the immersive environment, sound design, storytelling and atmosphere rather than live actors.

What age is The Haunting suitable for?

We recommend The Haunting for players aged 14+. Younger players are welcome when accompanied by adults but may find some elements frightening.

What Time Should We Arrive?

We ask customers to arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled start time. This gives your team plenty of time to check in, use the facilities and receive your game briefing before the clock starts.

Are we really locked in the room?

No. While the game is designed to feel immersive, all escape rooms have emergency exits and you can leave at any time if needed. Player safety always comes first.

How Many Players Can We Have?

Our escape rooms are designed for groups of 2 or more players. During peak times, some games may require a minimum of 3 players.

Each game has its own maximum player limit, which is shown on the individual game page. For larger groups, we can split players across multiple escape rooms running simultaneously.

  • Canterbury: Up to 80 players across our escape room collection.

  • Faversham: Up to 25 players across our escape rooms.

If you're planning a large group, corporate event or party, our team can help recommend the best combination of games for your group size - contact us here.

Can we use mobile phones or cameras inside the rooms?

Yes, mobile phones are allowed, but we kindly ask that you do not record the entire experience to avoid spoiling the fun for future players. Feel free to take photos after completing the challenge and share your experience online!

What are the age requirements?

Most of our escape rooms are suitable for ages 10+. Players under 16 should be accompanied by an adult. Some games contain darker themes and may be more suitable for teenagers and adults.

How long is the escape room experience?

Our escape room experiences last 60 minutes, but we recommend arriving 15 minutes early for a briefing. Plan for around 90 minutes total, including your briefing and post-game photos.
